The connection between indoor and outdoor poultry manure conveyors is a transfer point with its own design requirements. Both machines can be individually suitable while their positions, operating sequence or access do not match. Coordinate that handover before either installation is treated as complete.
Put both conveyors on one drawing
Show the indoor discharge position and the outdoor receiving arrangement in plan and section. Record elevations, direction and the surrounding building opening. Identify any transition component supplied between them.
For an existing farm, measure the actual interface rather than relying only on the original installation drawing. A previous modification to the discharge or outside route can change what the replacement equipment needs to connect to.

Define the material and operating sequence
Provide the relevant material condition and the intended removal pattern. Ask how the two stages are coordinated and how the system responds if the outdoor stage is unavailable. Identify which controls or detection functions are included in each supplier's scope.
The operating requirement should be shared. A receiving conveyor sized from a different assumption may become the limiting stage even when the indoor system operates as intended. Record the basis used for both proposals.
Review the building and exposure interface
Clarify who provides the building opening, supports and any required protection. Describe the outdoor conditions and the route beyond the receiving conveyor. Structural and electrical work should use the actual equipment information and appropriate design review.
Access around the transfer matters for inspection and cleaning. Mark how operators reach the relevant components with equipment isolated under the supplied procedures. Do not leave service space to be inferred after surrounding structures are finished.
Commission the handover as a function
- Mechanical positions and transition parts checked.
- Relevant controls and operating sequence confirmed.
- Material transfer assessed under the agreed procedure.
- Access and required protection completed.
- Responsibilities for unresolved items recorded.
The acceptance record should cover the connection itself, not merely contain two separate machine-completion signatures. Keep the final interface dimensions and control description with the farm drawings. That makes later repairs or replacement of one stage easier to review without accidentally changing the conditions required by the other stage.
